Trip of Julia discovering IRAN
The trip we have made to Iran has been FANTASTIC !.
We like to travel a lot and we have many kilometers, but this has been one of the best trips we have made and that has surprised us the most. Also our group of seven has been great (we already knew this …).
The itinerary is quite well drawn since it goes from less to more, in terms of the wonders to visit.
Tehran is a big city, and with not too much personality, but you have to go and in a couple of days you can visit a lot of what it offers. From there, everything has been very interesting and intense: Shiraz, beautiful, from the mosque to the bazaar, passing through the mausoleums of poets and gardens. Following the route we arrive at Persepolis, which was the capital of the Persian Empire during the Achaemenid era, so as to spend a whole day there! The truth is that we liked it very much. In the desert area, we were in Yazd, with its wind collectors and the Zoroastrian community, with what it carries, as well as its charming and secluded streets.
We also visit Pasargadae, where the tomb of Ciro El Grande is located. and from there it was the arrival to ISFAHAN, well, with capital letters, because it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Imán Square, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is worth the trip itself, with its mosques and its palace, as well as the Bazaar, where we let ourselves lose aimlessly and we discovered people, trades and other Many things, that made us spend a magnificent afternoon. The Vank Cathedral (of the Armenian Christians), the bridges and its nocturnal atmosphere and, finally, the town of Abyaneh, one of the most charming villages in all of Iran, with its small and characteristic mud and wood houses.
Throughout the itinerary we have met lovely people, very welcoming and affable, and, having coincided the trip with the party that corresponds to our Christmas, the bustle was general and the familiar, charming racking.
It will be from the countries that we visit again, without spending too much time, to be able to assimilate what during this visit, surprising and pleasant that it has been, has not given us time.
Thanks for everything,
